The staff of Alam Design and Family Builders are actively designing, building, and managing projects all over the United States. These projects include medical and dental offices, veterinary hospitals, retail centers and restaurants, hotels and resorts, schools, city halls, churches and mosques, and custom homes. With certifications from NCARB, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Alam Design can provide professional Achitecture and Planning services in United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
 
Our Architects and Builders are active members of the American Institute of Architects and the Home Builders Association. Mr. Husain Alam, AIA  is on the Board of  the "Blue Ridge Chapter" of the American Institute of Architects.
 
Alam Design Group and Family Builders are managed and owned by Mr. Husain B. Alam, AIA, NCARB, who is a licensed Architect with 21 years of experience in design and construction systems. He has designed and built projects in United States, Europe, and Asia. Mr. Alam has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, and  a Masters of Science in Architecture degree from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to starting his practice in 1998, Mr. Alam worked at SSP Architects in New Jersey and Balzer and Associates in Virginia. He has also practiced Architecture in Poland, Turkey, and Pakistan. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Mr. Alam is currently licensed in Virginia, North Carolina, New York, Washington DC, and Maryland. Mr. Alam has presented "continuing education" seminars on Architect-led design/build practice to fellow architects at the annual AIA conference of "Architecture Exchange East," for last several years.
 
Mr. Kenneth Miller, NCARB is an Architect and Project Manager with extensive experience in Charleston and Savanah. He has been a member of the "Southern Living Home." He has a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters of Architecture from the Savannah College of Arts and Design. He is currently a licensed Architect with a certification from the "National Council of Architectural Registration Boards." Mr. Kenneth Miller has 13 years of experience in Architecture and Construction. He worked for "Max G. Crosby Construction, Inc." in Charleston, South Carolina, as a Construction Superintendent and an Architect from 2005 to 2010. He also designed  high end custom homes for Cowart Coleman Architects in Savannah, Georgia, from 1998 to 2005. Mr. Miller brings great design talent and construction experience to our team.
